Buffet Table
This buffet table was a special gift I made for my mom for Mother's Day. It's built from solid cherry and finished with a clear polyurethane, giving it a smooth, natural look. I designed the table using Fusion 360 and then turned those designs into detailed plans for the building. The wood used is air-dried cherry that my grandpa milled himself, adding a personal touch to the project.
The tabletop and shelves are made from several pieces of cherry, carefully joined together for a strong, seamless surface. The legs have multiple epoxy features that give the table a more impressive look, while still being sturdy and functional. With its unique color, the cherry wood will only get better with age, making it a piece that will last for generations.
Building this table in my grandpa’s shop made it even more meaningful. It wasn’t just a project but a way to honor my grandpa and the craftsmanship passed down through our family. Every part of this table, from the design to the finish, was made with care, and I’m proud it became a lasting part of our family’s story.
